Why Google Halted New Website Submissions for Google

Recently Google has stopped displaying news content in the publisher center in India and also stopped accepting new publishers due to the introduction of the Digital News Publishers Association Code. Actually, this decision was taken by the higher officials of Google, and it is a part of Google’s compliance with the legal regulatory frameworks.

The DNPA Code aims to ensure that digital platforms like Google compensate publishers of news fairly for using their content. Google has been in discussion with publishers about coming to agreements on revenue-sharing models. However, due to there being no solution till now, Google has decided to limit the visibility of the news content in the publisher center to avoid any kind of potential issues related to legal circumstances.

But users are still able to find news content using the Google News platform itself.

This move primarily affects the monetization and management side for the publishers instead of the end-user experience.

If you are a new news article writer or have a news website that started recently, you will have to wait to show your website on Google news until the issue is resolved.

Google publisher center generally helps new bloggers and online news websites to make their website appear in the Google’s news platform.
